This customer needed a flower girl dress in a hurry for her granddaughter in a pageant just 5 days away! This adorable combination of sprite green, hot pink and ivory silk encrusted with sequins and two silk flowers in the back was whipped up in just a day and sent along the way!  This is one photo I am REALLY going to look forward to seeing right away and put it in our RAVES GALLERY!

I might add here, that we have “been crowned” the winner in National Titles quite a number of times!

Yummy – prettiest pink dress yet this year!  Okay, so we are two days into 2010 BUT it does represent a great look for Valentine’s Day Weekend Weddings!

This dress, based on style 394, was made all in Hibiscus Pink with matching tulle.  Her extra charge was for the “COLOR WITH TULLE”.

Effective 2010, Pegeen will no longer charge a COLOR SWAP FEE for changing colors for your flower girl dresses – what that means is – ANY COLOR – SAME PRICE!  It will act as an easier interface for us while we launch our new 3-D Tool called PEGEEN DRESS DREAMER!  Prices for 2010 change at 11:59pm Sunday, January 3rd.  We also are very busy finalizing our latest 3-D project and hope to launch our virtual dressing by Valentine’s Day!

I was so pleased this month to be able to view photographs by a wonderful photographer named Mike Topham who did a wedding for a client of ours. What a lovely Garden Wedding!  In a soft golden shade of Wheat, these flower girl dresses and junior bridesmaids dresses by Pegeen.com were accented with sashes in Watermelon Pink.

From time to time I get a photo from a bride where the picture and the setting just about knock my socks off.

This lovely wedding was photographed in Lake Tahoe and the bride chose to have her ringbearer vests made in our bubblegum pink silk and the matching flower girl dresses in bubblegumpink and black.

As you know, every month. at Pegeen.com we highlight a new Wedding of the Month and highlight one of our favorite weddings as the Flower Girl Dress of the year and it was difficult to find anything as lovely as last year’s Wedding of the Year. The flower girl dress of the year was a beautiful silk in New Ivory with a Cinderella Bow in the back of Tiffany Blue and covered with two layers of tulle. While we were making the dress at our factory, all of the girls would oh and ah at its beauty.  Melissa, our bride, had 4 flower girls, one ring bearer in a matching outfit of knickers, silk shirt and silk vest in Tiffany Blue and her junior bridesmaid had a lovely Tiffany Blue Silk dress with a matching Ivory Bustle.  When her pictures came on her CD ( we ask our brides to send in photos of the children in our creations after their event is over) we couldn’t get over how beautiful the wedding looked, so we named her our first Flower Girl Dress Wedding of the Year.

You have decided that you are going to have a destination wedding – something different.  So where do you start?  Do you bring everything?  If you leave the country does that mean you will have customs issues?

There are quite a number of books and articles out there on hiring a planner for a destination wedding and I would highly recommend that you choose a planner to help.  It’s difficult enough to plan your own wedding without professional help, but from a distance?  No way.

This is one of the necessary costs of planning an event at some far off location, from home.  I have experienced many weddings where even the smallest details are handled professionally by a planner who has the resources available to him or her and get your wedding off without a hitch.  But, one of the often overlooked details is the hiring of a destination photographer, or someone who specializes in destination weddings because the professional photographer will have various techniques not to mention equipment that will be needed for your chosen locale.   Our website Pegeen has a list of quite a number of destination photographers, one of my favorites specializing in destination wedding is CorsentinoPhotographer.com
