I get to see the great custom-designed flower girl dresses that we have made in so many different colors and I can’t help but be excited for our customer’s weddings. This special dress was done to match her fabric in Orange Red, Purple, Yellow and Pink.  We included all four colors in her special designed, custom flower girl dresses for her upcoming wedding!

We have had a VERY busy fall season (is this really Fall or is it Indian Summer?),  so we decided to combine our flower girl dress of the month for September and October and rename it our flower girl dresses of the month.

The wedding this month was a summer wedding that occurred in Oshawa, Ontario  (and yes Pegeen does ship our flower girl dresses all over the world including Canada!).  The beached theme wedding was in shades of soft aquas (Tiffany Blue) and photography was by Tara Graham Photo of Oshawa.  Pegeen’s style was from our Couture Flower Girl Dress collection by Pegeen.com in style 402 in the colors of Tiffany and new ivory silk.  The tulle covered the aqua silk in our shorter length to compliment the bridesmaids dresses which were also cocktail length.

This month, we decided to feature another really beautiful Bat Mitzvah that we dressed the girl for. Although we have featured many weddings over the past number of years, I couldn’t resist breaking with the tradition once again and highlight this wonderful family event.

The hot pink and lime green dress picked up the awesome table cloths with ribbons on it. Really set the theme!!

What set this apart this month was the wonderful food catered by New Roc Glatt who just happened to be the proud parents! New Roc Glatt is a kosher take out market and caterer located in New Rochelle, NY 914-636-2600

I was asked today whether I could make suggestions for flower girl dresses for Fall Weddings and most specifically for her October 17th wedding.  (October has quickly replaced June for a busy month for weddings around here!  Over the past 5-7 years, we do more October weddings than we do June Brides!)

Pegeen pink and white flower girl dress of the year

They just happened to hit on one of my FAVORITE weddings of all time – I LOVED the flowers by Fête Des Fleurs and event design by Fabulous-Fete.  The flower girl dresses were the perfect shade of peony pink and antique white tulle covered with two layers of tulle (2) and beautiful, handmade silk roses in the back.  The Jr. Bridesmaids were all in peony pink with a white silk sash and a deep v-back.  Wedding ceremony held at Park Cities Baptist Church and reception at Park Cities Hilton.  Photography by annesilvermanphotography.com and bludoorstudios.com.

I was especially honored to attend my son’s teacher and mentor who was married this weekend at the Rosen Center in Orlando.  Believe it or not, there were OTHER weddings besides Chelsea Clinton’s wedding this weekend!

Although I will be sad to see Denisha move to Boston, her husband decided to wow us all with vows he decided to sing.  While we guests all tearfully listened to Denisha’s beautifully written vows, spoken in barely a whisper,  coming from a musical family, I was thrilled to hear the music come up and Michael McDonald sing the most soulful version of his vows.  I was mesmerized.  When is he going to start recording?  Can I book him for my own vow-renewals I wondered?  Well, in any event, as promised, here were the two little flower girl dresses by Pegeen that the girls wore in Tiffany and Antique White silk dresses with Tiffany or White Tulle.   The smaller girl had additional petals in her flower girl dress.

I only wish that I could attend more weddings because it really was wonderful helping to tie the bows, watching the munchkins dance and listen  to their plans to attend Disney the  day after the wedding.

I just got these pictures from a customer’s wedding in June who choose chocolate and Tiffany blue for her flower girl dresses and Jr. Bridesmaids.  I loved her flowers!  This weekend I will be attending a wedding for my son’s dear sweet Athletic Trainer who is going to be leaving his school (sigh).  Will post them too! Can’t wait because I don’t get to see very many of my Pegeen flower girl dresses in action !
