We created a special dress for a beach wedding called STYLE 333.  I am reminded of it as my family members (up North) are cranking about the cold weather and we are enjoying the beaches in Southwest Florida,  During this warm Holiday weekend, my kids and I are back at our favorite shell beach when the kids asked if they could gather shells for any weddings coming up.  I truly think it’s their way of getting me away from the blackberry and laptop but heck, in a boat we are going first thing tomorrow morning.  Remember, with shells you have to air them out and dry them in the sun to reduce the smell.

There are sometimes in a designer’s life that we can’t wait to see the end result – the finished flower girl dress.  These tulle, Degas inspired dresses were no exception.  Our bride gave us her inspiration (more on that in a later post) and we were so excited to get going on the dresses.

Here is a lovely black and tan tulle flower girl dress with aloncon lace.  This customer chose to base her junior bridesmaids dress on style 413, chose black for the sash and summer tan for the base color. We present to you our first wedding of the month for this year.  At the end of the month, we will announce our Newest Wedding of the Year for 2010-2011 ! The anticipation is definitely growing and we are having so much FUN going over all of our customer’s DVDs,  Videos and Bride’s Entries.  If you purchase a dress or suit from Pegeen.com,  you are free to send in your photographs of the children dressed in Pegeen’s fashions and enter into our Model of the Year or Wedding of the Month selections. We choose our models from from those photographs of their children who have purchased dresses from the company. Customers photos are highlighted throughout the website in our Real Weddings Gallery as well as other places around the site.  If all the elements are right, these photographs may be chosen to be used in some of our advertising.

We loved our bride and grooms inclusion of their children’s artwork, their Aisle Runner and comfy sneakers.  Held in Bangor Maine, their afternoon wedding was in navy blue and sprite to coordinate with her choice of green orchids.

Made with Violet Silk, we made a lilac sash and then layered 4 different colors of tulle – from top to bottom, Lavender tulle, Lilac tulle, Amethyst Tulle and French Blue.  It was outrageous!  Can’t wait to see it on next month.
