I need a special color! Can I use my own fabric?

We are happy to match silk colors for your order.  SPECIAL ORDER Color Changes for DRESSES or SUITS will have a charge per item. Consult the pull down menus for current pricing.

You can also - in some cases - provide your own fabric if none of ours match BUT we must speak to you first about that! A warning though, many manufacturers charge an extraordinary amount for fabric by the yard so we REALLY don't suggest it as an option. We will only do this for dupione silk, silk taffeta, and silk shantung with a few other exceptions but will need to see a swatch first. We do not charge extra for the service BUT we also do not credit you for the fabric used. Generally you will need a yard but that of course depends on the style you choose.

One last suggestion for you can be to allow us to make the cummerbund only - like in style 320 or 335 - when the material is a satin or has a right side and a wrong side.  Again, please call us with these questions.

In the example below, our customer supplied Belsoie's Bahama Breeze to us and we made the outfit in Bisque silk with her material. You can see however that we think the fabric hangs a little "heavy" and this is also why we do not like using satin for our dresses.  However, the dresses WERE beautiful!
